Many people find it difficult to adjust to summer time. In this process, everything we do during the day is important, not just what is directly related to sleep.

What we eat can also play an important role in adjustment.

"The best foods before bed are usually complex carbohydrates, proteins, fruits or vegetables, and what is not recommended is consuming larger amounts of sweets and carbonated sugary drinks," experts emphasize.

The first on the list of good foods to consume before going to bed is oat.

"It also contains melatonin and the amino acid tryptophan, which helps create melatonin, which helps our brain send signals to the rest of the body that it's time to sleep," nutritionists explain.

The reason why tryptophan is so important is that it also helps our body produce the hormone serotonin, which helps us relax.

Many sleep problems are exacerbated by anxiety and excessive worry, so it should help the body produce as much serotonin as possible.

The fruit that is recommended for consumption before going to bed is kiwi, and cherries are also a good choice. Turkey meat is recommended.

Milk and dairy products are next on the list. A review of studies between 1972 and 2019 found that dairy products help improve sleep quality.

Experts have singled out some other foods good to eat before bed: soy products, oily fish, almonds, walnuts, chamomile tea, lettuce, corn, grapes, strawberries, tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms and rice
